The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) participated in 10th of Ramadan Businessmen association meeting on 8/12/2014 Hosted by the association. The meeting aims to raise awareness about NILEX role as a mean of financing small and medium companies, and the other listing advantages as providing a fair assessment of the company and a better success strategy. Moreover to improve the company’s market value. The meeting was attended by a number of the association’s members.

EGX organized the first seminar for the Egyptian Businessmen Association

EGX organized the first seminar for the Egyptian Businessmen Association to present the funding opportunities for the companies that list in the main market (EGX) and in SMEs market (NILEX). The seminar also mentioned the listing role to provide fair evaluation for companies, facilitate exit operations and enhance the ability to attract foreign and local investments.

Hosted by the Egyptian businessmen Association (EBA), Dr. Mohammad Omran, Chairman of the Egyptian exchange, participated in a meeting aiming to raise awareness of the role of EGX as a means of financing companies through a huge base of individual investors and institutions the Egyptians and foreigners. The meeting reviewed the advantages and limitation of a fair assessment of the company and provide a better strategy for success and improvement of the market value of the company. Dr. Omran was optimistic with the high rates of growth with the launch of infrastructure projects and national projects in addition to the advantage of diversity and the large size of the market. The meeting was attended by Eng. Amr Allouba, Vice President of the business association, Mr. Maged Shawki, Head of the Committee of Stock Market and Chancellor Mahmoud Fahmy counselor for legislation plus a number of businessmen and finance officers Association.

The Egyptian Exchange Participates in Rise Up Summit in The American University 13-14/10/2014 EGX Participated in the EVENT organized by the Rise Up Foundation at the American University in Cairo on 13-14 10/2014 to promote small and medium businesses and entrepreneurs to start and finance and promote projects. EGX participated as a keynote speaker in a seminar about different means of funding SMEs. The workshop viewed the important features of medium and small companies and restricted facilities provided in this framework to support entrepreneurs and investors new participants to the Conference


The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) concluded its first IPO Summit

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) concluded its first IPO Summit held in Cairo on 6 May 2014 under the auspices of H.E. Egypt Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab. The Summit is an initiative to inform Businessmen and companies of the financial benefits of listing in EGX.

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) held a workshop in collaboration with the Egyptian Junior Business association (EJB) to introduce the financing opportunities by listing in the main market (EGX) or SMEs market (NILEX) to EJBians. The growth opportunities offered to companies by listing were reviewed in the meeting either through capital increase or issuing bonds. The meeting also witnessed the definition of the new listing rules and their executive procedures.
